Yes. My husband (sponsor) also received a letter of eligibility for being a sponsor the day after i received my AIP. Then ecas changed to DM on both sides at the same time. These all happened exactly last week.

For the photos, does the sponsor still have to provide them or only the person being sponsored?

I was wondering the same thing. Also it says everyone included needs to be there. Like my kids are on it, but were born here and aren't actually a part of the application. So they're only on it for supporting documentation purposes haha. So do we bring them along too?

Just to be safe just bring them. There’s no harm in bringing them right.

Kitchener. I don’t think you can choose where to have the landing interview will be. It still depends on them where it will take place. I also think your location varies ao just wait for the email. Best of luck!

Yeah,I am not sure but may be only difference in the age is the reason for additional documents request (although it should not be criteria for determining any relationship). But if you have sent all the required proofs and pictues that you live together , you will be fine. Stay positive.

On February 25th, my ECAS updated and my partner/sponsor got her DM, but I received a "Procedural Fairness" update on CIC stating they needed more proof of our period of cohabitation. I thought my original application more than covered it, but I sent them more pictures, flight information, pictures of packages and mail, even more letters than I sent the first time, etc.

Does anyone have any experience with how much extra time this is going to extend the process by? I was so close. DM on one side and now this on my side. I've been reading this could extend the process by "months," and I've gotta say, I'm not digging that outcome whatsoever.

mine took 5 days between submitting extra proof and my wife getting AIP email.

Hello! Question about Service Ontario.


My husband just received AIP via email (like 3 hrs ago) and we know he’s now eligible to apply for OHIP.


Question is, can we go to just any Service Ontario that processes OHIP? Or do we need to go to a Service Ontario branch that only offers “Full Suite of Health Card Services”?


The difference is regular branches do not process OHIP if the person is a Temporary Resident and document has “Valid Until” or “Issued On” dates. This was the reason why my husband still wasn’t able to apply for OHIP even with full-time job because those branches who offer the “Full Suite Health Card Services” are only open weekdays 8:30-5:30pm. My husband just started working and can’t file for VL yet.


So, anyone knows if we can just go to a regular Service Ontario branch with AIP?
