Yup, that's what I did.

When is the deadline for submitting the medical request?

From the date of the letter for the medical request, you have 30 days to complete the medical.

I scheduled my medical locally, it'll be completed on the 30th day. I had the option of traveling 4 hours if I wanted it within 2-3 weeks, but I just started a new job with my OWP, so I'm hopeful that my medical will be processed by the doctor same or next day.

Medical request received today! Appointment for Friday morning. They are really burning through a few of us. I feel bad for those that still don't have their OWP.

Seems they need some help with streamlining the process for large intake.

It's completely luck of the draw that some people got theirs approved ahead of time. Not everyone is guaranteed to be processed within 3 months...

I'm sure there are a lot of people who are still waiting for their permit to be approved that aren't even on the forum.

It's unfortunate and I understand your frustration, but you just have to be patient. Getting worked up over it isn't going to help, you didn't get skipped.
We all knew that processing times could take up to 4 months so your application is still well within the time limits.

We didn't receive any email notifications. We had to log in on the CIC website to see the updated status already showing that it was approved and valid until 2020/10/16.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my timeline.
Inland - PR and OWP
Application sent - July 15
Received - July 16
OWP Received - shows July 9 (After linking on CIC)
AOR received - Aug 18
OWP Approved - Oct 17
Medical passed - Oct 24 (I had done my medical upfront and submitted it with the application)
So does anyone know what will come next, and how long till the next step?

I got my medical request as well. How much that will cost?

It can vary depending on the office so you'll have to call around and get quotes from the physicians.
I believe it can range between $300 to $600 CAD.

I just scheduled mine and it's $320.

We have the same App Received date and AOR but we have no progress in OWP and neither a medical request.

We have a travel coming up in December and we really need that OWP to get her visa renewed...alongside her workplace keeps on asking for an update on the application too since her permit is going to expire (it's a large corporation so they are a bit more picky about these things). Although she is allowed to continue working but everything else (SIN, insurance) will become invalid.

I hope you get some progress on your application soon.
