I read the book once, but decided that was just too boring.

Instead, I used online practice tests and just kept doing them until I passed every single one.
If I made a mistake on those online tests, I would do some research and some searching on Google, so I wouldn't make the same mistake again.
I did this for 2 or 3 evenings and scored a 20/20.
I used the following websites:

http://www.canadacitizenshipstudyguide.com/member/canadian-citizenship-practice-test.php
http://www.citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz
http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

All together the whole thing took about an hour. After arriving 9 or 10 of us were seated until it was 1.30PM (my appointment time).
Once everyone was there they went to check our invitations and 2 pieces of photo ID.

After they finished doing that, we were all brought into a room where our tests were waiting for us. After they explained how it all works, and after we were given time to ask questions we started to write our tests. It took me under 10 minutes.
Out of the 20 questions, 19 were multiple choice, and 1 true or false question.

After finishing the test we were asked to go back to the lobby and hang out there until everyone had finished their tests. Tests are marked right away. Since I was the first one to finish the test, I was the first one invited into the interview room.

The immigration officer was extremely friendly, he sat me down and we just small talked for a few minutes. I signed a form (once again) stating I do not have a criminal record or am serving a sentence in another country.
After that we went over my travel history, all he did was compare the stamps in my (1 current and 1 expired) passports to the dates I had provided. He did not go over every single date, or ask me about every time I had crossed the border. Simply just checked my stamps.

After that he went on to tell me I had aced the test, and I would be a Canadian citizen within 6 weeks from today.

Hope this explains things for people who have to go through this still, feel free to ask me your questions.

The test is really not as hard as most people think, (including me) but I still recommend studying. There were people in my group who did not pass. They had not studied though. o_O
