Just hit the 6 month mark today and application has changed to "taking longer than usual to process". Also conveniently hit the 2 year mark today on my working holiday visa so now I'm just here on an implied status until either my bridging visa or PR gets approved. I understand it's a waiting game but man this sucks. And looking at the Tracker there's still a bunch of July applicants who are waiting for PPR. There's no way only 20% of applications are processed over 6 months. Looks like about 40% of July applicants still waiting.

Hi, we have similar notes, Eligibility is Met but my criminality isn’t passed yet - infact my application hasn’t been touched since Eligibility was Met. I will be crossing the 6 months mark in 2 days.
From your GCMS, when did your criminality pass pls? Or what date did you notice your BG checks started on your online profile.
BG Check started on 15th November 2018. I ordered the notes on 5th December

Hey Guys,

Today finally my call was transferred to agent. He was very nice and told me my application has been approved but I haven't received any email yet.
CEC inland 1 dependent AOR July 17, 2018. Med Passed Aug. 3. No update until Dec. On Dec. 7, Background changed to IP2, Ghost update during Christmas, since then trying to call IRCC no luck, today finally got a hold of a agent. Anyone else in a same boat.

Same here. CEC inland AOR July 5, 2018. Called today and told that the application has been approved in Dec.

Guys I called last week and was told approved for a month, until now no ppr yet.

I sent an email to CSE and they tell me I am in the queue of ppr.

Case in Sydney, NS. Anybody can let me know how long I have to wait generally?

Thanks folks

Which office is your case?

hello all,
my case is more or less like @Iwantout90 too. (AOR-July10, FSW Inland) There has been no update (not even ghost) on the application to date apart from Medical passed in Aug.
I called in on 11th Jan and the agent wished "Congrats" saying everything is approved, application is in Ottawa and said PPR email should be out anytime. Its been 1 week now, I am confident too I didn't miss any email (again nothing on application).
Anyone else in the same boat or has suggestions for next steps.

Hello all, i enquired thru the MP office and got below response. What is the difference between approved and finalized? Is there anything i can do to move it forward? ( My status online shows only Medical as passed, rest all is in progress)
  • The application was received on July 10th 2018
  • Application has been approved
  • In que to be finalized by an officer
  • A request has been sent to the officer for a clarification
Thanks,

My application, well past 6 month mark now, and I wrote a heartful letter to Ottawa on Monday (awesome turnaround time) and got this reply:

Good day,
Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.
Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
Regards,

Guessing time to quell the curiosity, and make patience my virtue. Any thoughts welcome.

Just got a response to my second CSE, less than 24 hours after submitting it.

It was literally a carbon copy of the first response, but with an additional line confirming that the background checks were yet to start.

Next steps, setting a day aside to get through to the call centre, emailing visa office directly, trying to find an MP to take up my cause.

Just to be clear, I am not looking to have my application sped up, I am just energised to find out some actual information about our application. I will be making the point that a decent response to the first CSE would have stopped me wasting more of their time.

AOR 25th July - FSW-O, UK
