Hmmm...are there quite a few people still awaiting the SA email? My wife (the sponsor) hasn't received anything other than the email stating the application has been received. Her ecas does say it's in process and we haven't been able to link the app to her account. What's weird is that I've been able to link our application under my name but that hasn't changed since showing open either. Is that par for the course?

Probably Sydney. We live in Australia as well and our application went to Sydney. Hopefully it won't be as long as the 10 months quoted on the CIC website

so where is our case going to? it's depending on where you're living right now or your nationality?
I am little confused.

Did you receive the letter that your application for sponsorship has been approved and sent to the VO? That seems like an awful long time not to receive the SA. Which country are you applying from?

Maybe you should call CIC and see what's going on.

As in a physical letter in the mail? We have not received anything. Only correspondence was the email stating that the application was received. And app is from US. Just moved back from states though so was only able to provide letter from employer and 4-5 months worth of pay stubs. Wonder if that is an issue for SA? Will have to call em.

I got my SA via email to the email address supplied on the application (I am the sponsor).

The fact that you received your AOR email means they have the correct email address. Did you give them two email addresses?

Just asking because I heard of someone on this forum whose email address was misspelled in the system and that's why they were not receiving anything. Just a thought.

We did. And in fact we had our application sent back to us because I was lacking a use of a representative form indicating my wife as our representative. But yes, so far shes been the only one to have received that one email. Been checking MyCiC and ecas almost day but no changes since then. On hold for a call centre agent as I type this.

K just got off the line. The friendly agent was able to confirm that she was approved as of Monday and that the draft was in the process, and not quite ready to be sent out yet so that's a HUGGEEE relief. Ottawa here we come!

Sent my application in on July 18th, so I think I belong here! I was approved on August 30th as a sponsor, and my American wife's papers are in Ottawa as of September 2nd.

Glad to see others in similar situations to us, and thankful for the priceless resource this forum provides.

Hello Everyone.
I have a doubt regarding the AOR2. My wife ( SA) received an email on behalf my application saying that our application has been forwarded to VO São Paulo/Brazil. on ECAS showed a third line which it is "We started processing EDER LOURENÇO RAMOS REIS's application on September 1, 2016"( this is actually the second line, the third is "Medical results have been received"). I suppose that this is the AOR2 is that correct ? However I did not received any UCI number, only the first one which is related to my Wife. How can I link my application on MyCic without this number. Can someone help me on it ?

Likely where you're living. What our SA said was that based on the applicant's country of residence it would go to Sydney. Mind you, he holds dual Australian/British citizenship, so maybe it's based also on his citizenship.
