If you called IRCC and the call agent told you your application is under process, then don't worry you just have to wait till your security gets done. I wouldn't rely on neither ECAS nor MyCIC for the status..

Well, if you call CIC, than the agent can only see what`s in mycic as well, not much more, so... But I hope you are right and they are working on our case.
I guess I cannot do too much, just keep on waiting.

Hello all,

Im officially a PR now after 3 years of paperwork
PNP took me 18 months
PNP based PR took me 19 months

I have lost a lot of hair over it, like literally its thinned up

My Time line
Date of appli.: June 17th 2015
jan 10th 2017- decision made
jan 13th 6:13 PM - received PPR email
jan 17th - ottawa received passport
jan 26th - passport delivered back to me
jan 28th - Landing

Landing was pretty simple, flagpoling at US customs, received the yellow refusal letter, turned around, went to O canada customs, took my passport/my refusal letter/ confirmation of PR, old stupid closed work permit. got my confirmation of PR as in Landing paper, crossed off the single entry visa, passport back and some pr info thingie, Handshake n took a piss of freedom right outside on the right at the public toilet, Coutts.

I no more have breathing problems which is good

How long we have to wait tho!! Its 20 months over now!! Security should also have a deadline too, it can't take indefinitely! What has the longest security check been? Anybody knows?

Security check is one of the stages of processing, so they can't take their time simply because there are different agencies involved in the security checks services. When they give people 16 months as a processing time the security check should be already included!

I am July 31,2015 applicant, AOR recieved in november 2015, medical recieved in april 2016 and acknowledged in july 2016, additional PCC document request in july 2016 which was submitted in same month.
from sep 2016 back ground check in progess and rest all is completed( medical , eligibilit, criminality).
Almost 18 months is completed but still no response yet.

I ordered GCMS notes which mentions that security is in progress and my location is Pend.

Any one having the same situation , please suggest

I have a similar timeline, but I`m July 14th applicant. Submitted PCC documents in 2016 July, security is being processed, but still no decision made. I`m passed 18 month, almost 19 and still don`t know how long to wait. I just heard of someone in my time who got his PR last week, after 11 month.

Yes, but it was back in September or October, don`t think it had a location on it.

and your friend who got his PR last week, he also applied in July 2015?

Not my friend, and no, he is not a July applicant. He got it early February, after only 11 month so you can count back.
This was a mistype from me:
" I just heard of someone in my time who got his PR last week, after 11 month."
Correct:
" I just heard of someone in my TOWN who got his PR last week, after 11 month."

Yes, I had to provide PCC from 3 countries, including my home.

With spouse.
