Hi,

Can you please give us your timeline/updates of the process?? And if its okay to ask ... from where did you apply? what country?

Thank you :)
My on-line status is as follows:

We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 19, 2014.
We started processing your application on September 20, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

I received medical request on March 19th and completed exam on April 7th. Afterwards, never heard a single word from CIC. Meanwhile, I have paid RPRF fee upfront on August 8th. Ordered GCMS note twice: RPRF fee has been received and updated, Eligibility: Appears to meet requirement, recommend passed.

I have applied from Canada. Though I have received PPR email this morning, my ecas status has not been changed to DM yet. Guess it takes some times. Good luck with your PR. Just hang in there, you are almost there.

Thank you for your reply! I applied a week earlier than you and I hope I will get some good news soon too!

Ordered GCMS note twice: RPRF fee has been received updated, Eligibility: Appears to meet requirement, Recommend passed. So I guess, I am not in second review. Only issues outstanding in my file are criminality, security etc. which I guess an excuse for delaying our files. It just getting on my nerve, can't take it anymore. :(

I have seen in this forum applicants from late July and early August are getting PPR. Seems like they are not following any trends, otherwise I would have been received PPR. Just wondering how many July applicants are still waiting for PPR (not in second review, MR received and RPRF paid). Can we share our timeline here? Know they are not following any trends :(, but hope it will pass soon.
If you are from visa exempt country and you've paid RPRF upfront you might not be contacted by CIC at all. The last communication I've had from them was in February 2015 - MR and yesterday I found COPR in mailbox (not a surprise - I've noticed status changed to Decision Made on Monday). ZERO communication of any kind about PR application - just GCMS notes when I requested them.

BTW my application / situation was similar to yours: rock-solid application, no 2nd review (recommended pass), upfront rprf, etc. Applied 3 weeks before you.

Got MR today for self and spouse after what looked like ages.

App. Filed......: 30-07-2014
App. Rec.......: 05-08-2014
AOR Received.: 23-10-2014
Med's Request: 11-05-2015

I saw some early Aug folks recieve MR almost 3 weeks back and it has been an excruciating wait.
Good Luck every one. I hope the MRs / RPRFs / PPRs flow now.. :p
Well I haven't updated in a while, as the MR sent us in a tailspin. Things were found in my spouse's x-ray and we had to get multiple other checks done including a biopsy. It was all good in the end and nothing major. Our files were submitted CIC in June 2015 and the ecas was showing Medicals Received a few weeks after that. We ordered GCMS and received the notes last month showing that the eligibility was recommended passed. I promptly went ahead and paid RPRF upfront. Back to the waiting state as everyone else.
With a lot of movement on all the CEC threads recently, we are hoping to get PPR in a few weeks.

I just wanted to share this with you guys (who are getting a med reassessment request) to ease off the anxiety levels a little!

Per CIC's website:

The process (of medical reassessment) applies only to cases where a final decision is pending due to either:
- the expiration of a medical certificate; or,
- when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/assess/cert.asp

All the best... :)

Today something to Share with you guys.

I sent an e-mail in November to Minister CIC regarding my application, today I have got the response and below is their response.

This is in reply to your email of November XX, 2015, addressed to the office of the Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, concerning the processing of your application for permanent residence. I regret the delay in responding.

Thank you for offering your congratulations to the Minister. We understand your wish to have your application finalized as quickly as possible. Please be assured that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada reviews all applications objectively and consistently to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants. We assess each application on its own merit against the program requirements and all decisions are neither discriminatory nor arbitrary.

Our records confirm that officials at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa (CPC-O) have recently (XXXX XX, 2016) sent a request to you via email for additional documentation required to finalize your application. Once immigration officials have received the requested documentation, they will be in a position to proceed with your application.

I trust that this information is of assistance.

Sincerely,

XX.XXXX
Ministerial Enquiries Division

This electronic address is not available for reply.

Lately but at least some reply, which is appreciable. I saw this government is bit effective at least they are replying our enquiries though it will take time to settle things.

Any ways hope this helps.

Hi guys,

Today i received a letter from CIC ... they asked me to send them my passport in order to get a confirmation letter of PR. Im going to send my papers today, but im wondering how long it will take them to proceed and send it back to me (I live in Toronto). And another question, why do they need my passport? are they going to stamp it or else? or they need it for validation?

Please advise.

Thank you!

This is a good thing! They are requesting your passport for stamping. From what I've seen in this forum it only takes a few days to send it back to you with your COPR. Congrats! When did you apply?

I applied in July the 14th. The last thing ive heard from them was that they received my medical results in April 2015.

I think the less you hear from them the better to be honest. My boyfriend has been requested updated documents, fingerprints, etc. and is still waiting for a decision. He sent his application in in May, they received it in June and started processing it on July 28. Very very very stressful seeing people get COPR who applied well after him. He is visa exempt too so they won't even be requesting his passport for stamping.
