Yeah but CIC doesn't bother to have a separate account for cec to which cost recovery is processed into. I have seen other people also say that it says FSW on their credit card statements even though they applied for CEC.

Yes but yours is showing FSW. We are CEC, so why?

Hi,

My application was returned to me with the reason that birth certificate proof of my spouse (I provided her matriculation certificate with her name and her date of birth on it) should contain 1) Applicant's Name 2) Date Of Birth 3) Applicant's Father/Mother/Both Name

They want all 3 on the matriculation certificate and she had only her name and DOB.

I am planning to get her birth certificate from Municipal office in English with all 3 details mentioned in it. The question I have is, once I get the certificate, do I send the same package with the birth certificate? Or I need to print all documents again?

I see that CPC has stamped certain documents and have marked with pencil while validating some of the forms. Should I re-print all forms or used the once which they already verified.

Hello Nagpuri,

Sorry to hear about the outcome. If getting the birth certificate from Municipal office is going take time (which normally does back home) CIC accepts a notarized affidavit in lieu of the birth certificate.

I was in the same situation and after digging through this forum I found this option. Although I did not have to use this option as I managed to get my birth certificate in time to file with my application.

I think you can send same package with explanation note, once you will get the birth certificate or you can also do affidavit.

They have mentioned note what you need to provide.

You will need to re-print all forms and complete them again. Better if you had saved them previously. If I remember correctly, just a copy of the birth certificate is required. You can use all of the original documents that you had submitted with your last application, provided they are still valid.

Please update my info in the spreadsheet.. my username is already there i think.

Thanks for the reply guys. I plan to get the birth certificate or affidavit and re-submit the application by printing all the forms again. I decided to print all the forms again since the application date will have to be changed on all the forms.

I see it as a small roadblock in the long long journey. :)

Thanks again for your feedback.
