Hey guys,

New to the forum.
I submitted my application on 27th July, no confirmation of receipt.
CC charged on October 10th.

Applying under Canadian Experience class code 2231.
I have not received any acknowledgement letter to this date and am getting a bit worried.
Anyone heard any news?
I have emailed a few times and no response.

Call up cic and ask.. U should hv gotten it by now.. May be incorrect email address on your profile

I also had same case, After calling cic I came to know that they have my wrong email id in their record.
Then I requested the person whom they sent AOR (wrong emailid) and also emailed to CIC-Sydney for issuing AOR to my correct email id.
Got AOR email from both in few days

received negative result :-[ last july 29 2014 on my working visa application due to lack of NBI document. and my representative trying to make an appeal to the Canadian Embassy, Manila to reconsider the application as NBI document is NOT a part of the initial document requirements list online.

till now im still waiting and hoping that the immigration will reconsider my appeal. :-[

is there anyone here got same refusal. :-[ :-[ :-[

Hey Guys,

I am aware that as long as I have an open work permit (which I do), I can change jobs while my CEC application is under processing. But just wondering, does that new job has to be a skilled job or can I go ahead and work at a lower skill level job? Would that affect the application in any way?

P.S. I work as an Ironworker/Welder but I am kind of bored of doing it and would like to do something new.

Hi,
you can take any kind of job now (skilled as well as unskilled). You can also be unemployed. Your PR application is based on your past experience.

Quick question? Is it optimal time to apply for GCMS notes to see the progress on my application? My application reached CIC on July 3'rd and got my AOR on Aug 22'nd. Thanks for your expert comments..

You should be fine applying for GCMS notes anytime. I applied mine more than a month ago...I hope we hear something soon. However things have slowed down really bad. Let's hope we hear something by atleast February unless CIC speeds up their process.

I know. It is Christmas though, i think realistically July applicants will hear in mid March....unfortunately.

Also, is there a CIC helpline where you can ask general questions?

Yes sadly it could go till March as well.I waited close to 60 days just to receive my AOR. With Express Entry looks like ppl will get PR under 6 months...not sure how things will turn out

Received my AOR on Sept 29th.
Checking my status online, but nothing so far.
Waiting is the worst.
