I guess the delay is probably us awaiting applicants apply for extensions of BOWP and then the PR gets approved. $255 per applicant right.. economy is slowing down.. elections are coming up.. govt needs extra funds .. once alot of BOWP extensions r issued then the we will see more updates

i have personally applied for:
1- off campus work permit (3 months)
2- post graduate work permit (12 months)
3- bridging work permit (4 months due to passport expiry)
4- bridging work permit (8 months to cover for 12 months total duration)
5- bridging work permit extension...

just count the $$$$$

medicals sent and waiting

Any July applicants sent medicals in April and still waiting on the decision?

I am a July 21st applicant, sent medical around April 2nd week and no updates from then on.
Online status doesn't show any more information other than Application received note.

Any information surrounding my issue will be appreciated.

Doctor submitted my upfront medical on July 14,2015 to CIC but it has not updated yet. Call centre said it takes 3 months to update on Ecas. Not sure if its true.

For me ..i did MR on July 8th...i guess doctor uploaded in 7 days...and By july end ecas updated..

Does anybody have any idea if the fee for work permit increased? I am trying to extend my BOWP and found out that I need to pay around $500 for 2 people. There is a fee called "open work permit holder" now. Is this something new?

I checked the receipt from the last BOWP, it was only $155 for 1 person.

I wonder why I didn't received any medical request or etc? It's been 12-13 month now?

Is it because I still I have enough work-permit, they process slowly?

most of the due date is 11th September 2015...previous due date was April. nothing excited news...

i feel your frustration its sucks knowing that they didn't even touch your file.

You may want to order GCMS notes to check the current status. Per this forum news, many of July applicants got medical request or their file is waiting for second review.

Seems like there aren't many of us who did receive their medical requests in March/April, and are done with their medicals but are still stuck with the processing.

I haven't heard from them since March when they responded with the confirmation of reception of my medical. Paid my RPRF upfront in June. Recently a new line was added to my ECAS with the processing date which was the date I got my AOR. Let's stay positive, and hopefully they won't keep us waiting for much longer.

I have had the passport request on 12th Aug. Sent passports on 13th Aug with express post prepaid envelope.

Since 17Aug 10 AM, the Canada post tracking status says 'Item out for Delivery'. I am panicked. It has not been delivered yet and the postman has the package with him since 2 days.

Please suggest what to do at this point.

On the package I had opted to get the signature of the person receiving the package. Would that have delayed the delivery?

Yup. Staying positive. I guess we are lucky to have medicals requested and done as many seem to be waiting for medical requests for so long. My open WP expires by Dec 16th, Will apply for extension by September 1st week if I don't get my PR approved by then. Good luck to you too.
