A suggestion: Why don't you create a form and link it to SS by which everyone can update their info by themselves ? I am a July 3rd applicant. I just received an email from CIC stating that I've clearted Eligibility and they have asked me to pay the RPRF. I am excited. It also says Criminality, Security and Medical are in progress.

Question: I still have not received my medical request for self and spouse....and our last medical was 2 years ago for work permit, so clearly it must have expired. Is it common to request RPRF prior to medical? Anyone who has been in a similar situation ....can you please comment. Does this mean medical request should come shortly? Thanks for your help.

When did you receive that email? It is not normal to ask rprf before medical. But the good news is that you passed the eligibility. Good luck.

He asked CIC by couple of emails too, they replied that his file is in good condition but sometimes visa officers take long time to initiate MR mostly due to security/criminality checks pending results, so he was advised to wait patiently! I hope your case would be lot better..all the best. Get your GCMS notes just to make sure that everything is normal or not.

You can send an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca or call at 1888-242-2100 and speak to an agent at CIC and inquire about the progress of your application.

I have never heard CIC waiving any medicals for PR unless the last medicals you did for your WP are still valid (less then a year old).
