Thank you guys for your comments and helpful suggestions. Also thought to add some more posts to this thread to increase number of posts, we are sitting on just 22 pages as compared to other threads ;D

Guys, another quick question. I applied for fingerprints from RCMP 2 weeks ago and got the result yesterday and they sent a letter with all info. Do I have to send this to CIC office or would RCMP send my info to them and they sent me a copy as a proof? I have already opened their letter as i was curious to know what's in there :-X

U have to send it to CIC . Its is one of the requirements if you go through the checklist ....

It happened to me too.when i sent an email to update the docs, i didnt get any reply apart from auto reply.when i again sent email after 2 months, i got reply that they had already added new docs in your file.
Hope this helps you.

Thnx Mate... I guess I will also resend it t o them in hope to receive the same reply as you did. BTW my position and title recently changed at my workplace along with my responsibilities. Hence the NOC is different then the one I sent to CIC along with the application. Is it advisable to update CIC with respect to this as well?? I am quite positive that it might help me but a second advice is always appreciated....

Refer to this post for more details.

Also, are you a July applicant?

I am not able to understand where does it say that you have to submit RCMP. The CIC site for CEC says "These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18."

Can someone throw light on whether RCMP needs to be submitted or not? In my application I only submitted PCC for countries other than Canada.

RCMP certificate is required only if the VO processing your application requests you to provide this. CIC will first do a search on your name to see if there are any criminal records against it. If there is a matching name, they would want to make sure that it is not you but someone else with that name, so they ask for fingerprinting and PCC from RCMP.
