I just tried logging in to Ecas with my (applicant, not sponsor) UCI and details and I got through, which I couldn't before, so I guess that's an AOR?? It said the following:

We received your application for permanent residence on July 5, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

Woohoo, we have progress!!

just wondering....where did u get ur UCI as an applicant?

Im curious about the uci. number too

Sandilee...just FYI..in your refund letter, there could be an application #. you can try to use it on CIC on-line service and match APPLICANT's information to see whether you recived AOR.

I'm just sponsoring my common-law partner. If my math skills are correct that is the same amount I paid for my partner's application fee as well as the "Right of Permanent Resident Fee" that they recommended you pay in advance. I'm very worried and they won't answer the phones at the call centre. I've called about 20 times today! :(

I am on my third workpermit so my UCI is from when i first arrived.
sorry, i know that doesnt really help others that dont have a history with CIC.

Awesome rachiy, congrats! Here's hoping they send your approval by email!

I read on June thread someone was able to log into ECAS using their receipt number and applicant's details (that's the first time I have heard that working)- but looks like mine still isn't working yet.

If they are now working on applications July 12 - then hopefully mine wont be more than a week or so off (which means 4 weeks snail mail).
There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks Bagel!

I actually just got home and found a letter from Ottawa - sponsor approval dated Sept 12.
Yours is probably in the mail. Start stalking your mailman!!

Hi everyone,
could you please help me with my situation?
I sent CIC 12kg application package, which are included 3 books of our messages,
however, on the day I received my sponsorship approval.
They sent back to me 3 Books of yahoo messages, but all of other proof such as, photos, mail, ticket and etc they didn't return.
what is going on with my wife application?
By the way, in the return package, they just said they don't need that additional information at this time.
and my wife permanent resident application was received by Singapore visa office and her application status is
application received and medical results have been received on Sep 07th.
I just want to know whether anyone have same situation with me, and is it ok with my wife application?
Thank for your help if possible.

hello fellow July applicants!

I have heard of that happening to others (returning boxes of chat logs etc). I guess in most cases they would only need a representation of chat logs, as I can't imagine any of the officers wanting to go through pages and pages unnecessarily.
In my opinion it looks like a positive thing, that they have enough evidence. I would still hold onto it all though, in the event you are requested for an interview, and then take it with you then if you feel it strengthens your case.

So not been on the forum for a week and suddenly loads of movement, those nice colored boxes are getting closer to me on the spreadsheet :D

And congrats to all those who have had responses so far :)

says working on July 12 sure hope to hear something soon .....

i called them this morning to see if there was any record in system of my application yet (Fedex got it to them on July 11th). the agent told me he couldn't find anything. he suggested to keep waiting. he said they never send acknowledge of receipt (AOR) but people here have gotten them. who knows what to believe. back to waiting and hoping someone didn't lose or throw out my application.
