what is your NOC? have u started processing yours? did u send orig docus or u have your school send the docus?
hi fsw4,

My NOC is 3113. If you're referring to credential evaluation, yes, I did send my credentials to ICES a week ago.

Based on the ICES website, CIC is one of the organizations that recognizes their evaluation and they require basic evaluation.
The documents that are required are your original documents ( these are the documents awarded to you by the institution where you graduated from).

is that a regulated profession? im thinking of having my docus send by the institution (official) since later on (if my app will be ok) CLPNBC (the regulatory board in vancouver ) requires comprehensive plus supplemental reports (official docus).

yes it is. NOC 3113 - Dentist.

If you are planning to have your credentials evaluated by ICES, they have a page in the application package for evaluation wherein there is a list of organization , the type of report they require and the documents required by the ICES.

In my case, since I am not sure if my application will be successful, I just need the evaluation as a supporting document for my application. So, i checked the CIC as the organization and CIC requires basic report only and the ICES requirement is that I have to send my original documents. If my application for immigration is successful and I decided to get a licence and be a registered dentist in Canada, then i will have to have my evaluation upgraded to comprehensive, pay the corresponding fee and I will need an official documents ( these are the documents wherein the institution where you graduated from are the ones who will send your documents to ICES directly).

If you plan to check the CLPNBC, then you need to have a comprehensive evaluation plus supplemental and official documents are required.

This is how I understand it. You may want to hear from others, too...

bereth

@Olu28,

At the moment,it is only the Applicants IELTS Report Form that is required but going by Minister Jason's speeches,IELTS for Spouse wouldn't be a bad idea in preparedness for MI5 submission.

Dear All,

For NOC 3112, is credential assesment essential before applying. I am planning to re-submit my file in July 2012, as it returned back due to caping.

Some changes are proposed to immigration system, but they will certainly be implemented in the upcoming year.

Proposed changes to the economic immigration system include:

eliminating the backlog of old Federal Skilled Worker applications;

modernizing how workers are selected under that program to better reflect the importance of younger immigrants with Canadian work experience and better language skills;

updating federal business immigration programming related to investors and entrepreneurs;

creating a new Federal Skilled Trades program;

modifying the Canadian Experience Class to better facilitate skilled temporary workers' successful transition to permanent residence;

developing a “start-up” visa that would link immigrant entrepreneurs with investors;

strengthening the assessment of education credentials of applicants to the Federal Skilled Workers Program;

exploring, with provinces, territories and employers, approaches to developing a pool of skilled workers who are ready to begin employment in Canada; and
setting minimum language requirements and shifting to a solely economic focus within the Provincial Nominee Program.
