Friends,
I have added a new column in the spreadsheet 'Days between Application & PER' . This will give a fair idea to people waiting for PER about the trends /wait times to receive PER.

Thanks RKC, for adding that column. I was just looking atvNDVO spreadsheet for MI2 applicants (Jun 26, 2010 to Jun 30, 2011) and I can see that the time required for issuing a PER for MI3 applicants is lower than last year. This is nice to know. But I am afraid the numbers could go up if CIC slows down on the process. There is actually an increase from the 60's to 80' so far. Let us wait and watch.

Congrats Jorgill.....guess you're in the race now.Regards.

Hi! I just received an e mail with my application number. ;D

Can anyone include it in the spreadsheet? I think i'm not there yet.

Category........: FSW1
Visa Office......: CIO Sydney, NS (sent from Buenos Aires, AR)
NOC Code......: 4151
App. Filed.......: Sent 15/6/2011 - Received 11-7-2011 (got delay because of Canada mail post labor disruption)
Fees charged: CC 18-8-2011
Doc's Request.: All notarized and originals sent with app
IELTS Request: Sent with App
Application number received: 03-10-2011
status: Application received

by the way, can anyone explain what PER means? and the rest of letters you use?
Congrats Jorgill,

The following is copy/past from the Forum dictionary (just made it up, don't bother looking for it):
CIO - Centran Intake Office
AOR - Acknowledgment Of Receipt
PER - Positive Elligibility Review
NER - (bad thing) you don't want to know about it.
RBVO - Received By Visa Office
CC - Credit Card (easy eh?)
DD - Demand Draft
BD - Bank Draft (same as above)
VO - Visa Office
MR - Medical Request.

Let me know if you feel that I forgot anything.

Interresting data on that list NKKD, thx for sharing.
What I can't figure out still is why some applications were concluded in 6 month while others took more than 14 month and still under processing.

Any Ideas?

Thank you!!! do you know who updates the file? I downloaded it but it seems like I can't update my dates and status. Probably only the owner can do it.

That could be because of the varying processing time different VO . CIO job is done once they do PER/NER and transfer the application to respective VO .From the date of PER the processing time is solely depend on the processing times of the VO

I can only speculate on this. Some people in the forum believe that each VO has a pre-destined number of visas to be given away each year. There is a possibility that NDVO ran out of visas and then again started processing when their visa quota is replaced. Also, the VO slows down during fall season when a lot of students apply for their study permits.

If you are talking about a few scattered cases it could be due to security, job authenticity or other unexplained reasons.

@Cim and Jorgill

hi, at the last paragraph of the PER letter it states that "It is important for you to learn about the steps you need to take to get your credentials and qualifications recognized in Canada. Citizenship and Immigration Canada recommends that you review the resources on the Foreign Credentials Referral Office’s website and the Department’s website (www.cic.gc.ca) for helpful information about living and finding work in Canada. If your application will be processed through China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan or the UK, you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance."

just want to ask if we should start doing it now or do we have to wait for some notifications? how do we get started with this... i'm kinda lost with reagrds to this matter. I need your help pls... thank you and God bless :)

@ NKKD,

Are you working in a Pharmaceutical Company?
