Canada for us is just an additional option rather than a 'Do or Die'. Owing a house in one of the poshest neighborhoods in the most important & lively city in India with best of the facilities in all aspects & pretty good standard of living, we don't have too many reasons to migrate to Canada.
Just that humans always like to have more options on their fingertips & knack to try the not tried before. If this PR thing happens for us & we do not find more '+'s than '-'s in Canada, we can always come back to our good life here in India.

& BTW why didn't you use US/UK visas you had..? Am I wrong in thinking that Canada is more accommodating of immigrants & more multicultural than its counterparts UK/US.

Always a migration opportunity is a better bet for your own stability than a visa.. this is what I learnt from my 3 years of being in the UK on a visa...there is always the preference towards locals that we see when we apply for jobs.. after immigrating to a country you become a local there...

my application was reached on 21st July.

our bank is not cooperative..maybe they are just lazy to check or maybe too inconsiderate to do us some favor..I will just wait until 6weeks..my app reached on july13..then I just might send an email to CIC on first week of sept to follow up..

mine reached CIO on 12th July....

have to guys noticed something in spreadsheet.

user alaindotcom's cc was encashed on 15th aug. he had sent his app on 8th july but application reached date is not given. but looking at other manila applications, we can infer that his/her application which was sent ton 8th july must have reached cic on 13th or 14th july.

it means cic has reached processing of application atleast upto 14th july and their cc / bd are being encashed.

Probably it's a typo, couldn't it be that his appl. was received on the 8th ?

no bd is not like cheque. it gets cleared the same day. but it might take a day or two for you local bank to be updated that the bd is chagred.
