I want to immigrate to Canada with my partner. In three months I will have my MBA degree from the United States, and I have a work experience in the financial industry. I took IETLS already. My partner's finishing up her master's degree in speech pathology. She has work experience but not in the speech pathology field just yet. She hasn't taken the IELTS test. What chances do we have to qualify? Does my partner need to take IELTS test, if we do a joint application? Thank you.

One can apply as the main applicant and the other as a dependent. The main applicant needs ECA and IELTS. The ECA and IELTS of the spouse will increase points of the main applicant.

It is better for the person with the higher score to be the main applicant. However, both can be main applicant but only one can submit the post ITA application.

Hello,

i have written IELTS exam. i scored 6.5 in reading, 6.5 in listening, 7 in writing and 7.5 in speaking but my agent said i am not eligible. although, i think it is what i can do online by myself. do you think this scores will work for me to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker? what do you advice me to do?

Your scores meet the minimum for FSW but if you increase your scores to 8 in listening and 7 in the rest, you have a good chance that your score will increase drastically.
