Hi lovebb,

Our DMP sent the package and I have no idea where she had to send it...For me it was so obvious that the medical package should be sent to the Visa Office but now that I have read on this forum that it may need to be sent to Canada I started to worry a little bit...
Our DMP told us that it will take around 3 weeks to get the medical examinations evaluated.
I'm desperate to receive PPR.

Hi Christine,

Enclosed to your medical form section A is an instruction sent from your visa office. You can go back to that instruction to check where your medical result should be delivered. Did your DMP give you a mail tracking number, which will tell you when the mail was delivered?

Hi,

I have checked it, it says that it's going to be sent to the Canadian Embassy...
I didn't get any mail tracking number from my DMP. I called her 3 days after our medical examination and I was told that everything is OK, she mailed our package. I wonder how we could even check if our meds have already been delivered now that we don't even have any tracking number...Do you have any idea?
My husband's permanent address has been changed 2 weeks ago. I am the principal applicant but still should we inform the visa office about this change?
Thanks for your help!
Christine

Hi Everybody,

I have sent my medicals on July 7th, 2010.

I hope we all get our visas and passports request soon!

Christine,

1. If the registered address has changed, you need to notify your visa office as soon as possible.
2. If your medical result is supposed to be mailed to Canadian Embassy, you need the mail tracking number to make sure if the mail has been delivered. Alternatively, you can email your visa office to check but this will work out when your mail was sent out several months and you didn't hear anything from there. Otherwise, the visa office usually respond you like this, "You are in the queue. We will inform you if some information is outstanding in the future" (or something like that).

For my case, I live in the US and all medical forms are required to be sent to Ottawa by DMP. We usually call DMP to get the mail tracking number. Meanwhile, we fax/email our visa office the receipt that we received from the DMP. So the visa office will exactly know that we are done with medical examination and the result has been delivered to Ottawa. The rest thing for us is to wait for the PPR, which may take several weeks or several months.

Hi lovebb,

Thanks for the info.
Shall we notify our visa office about the address change via mail or we can do that by e-mail as well?

Hi Christine,

I would email the visa office. And if I couldn't get their response about my address update in a few days, I would call them to make it sure.

Hi

I got medical request on march 10, 2010 and i send my medical on April 05, 2010 & waiting for the reply from immigration office london and my status is 'In Process'. Its almost 3months finished but i didnt heard or no change in e-cas in my case. What should i do please suggest me and share ur experience if its happen to anyone .

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

Thanks for all the responses.
I did a case enquiry through the website of CIC and sent them my husband's new address. I got a response from my Visa office immediately after that saying that they received it but in case of a change of address they will not reply to me.
I also discussed with our DMP and I was told that our package was sent to the Visa office in Vienna and it is 100% sure that they have already received it. However they will update my ECAS with "Received medicals" only after the evaluation of our medical documents. It is a bit strange for me but that's how it works in Eastern Europe according to our DMP.

That's good, Christine! Be patient and don't panic! It will take 1-3 months between medical sent and PPR. My medical result got Ottawa on 06/29. I bet we have similar time lines. Let's cross our fingers.
