Hello Team & Experts,

Background information:
Well, I have started gathering information on Express entry program & applying in a month or so based on my retake in IELTS score. I'm standing at 446 points and current draw is 456+ so, to boost my points I need to increase by somehow.

Guidance needed:
I work for an IT company and our subsidiary is in Ontario, so my manager has told me he will provide with job offer letter to boost my score. So with just a job offer letter will work (or) do I need to have any more documents needed. Please assist.

Thanks in advance. :)

Are you already working in Canada? If not, then no, a letter is not enough. You'd need a positive LMIA + job offer.

You will need your subsidiary organization to apply for an LMIA (should result as positive) using your subsidiary organization's job offer.

* Other scenario is to apply for ICT work permit (LMIA-exempt) and wait for 1 year and apply. In this case, job offer from same subsidiary organization is LMIA-exempt. You will also get 1 year points for CEC.

Thanks a lot for quick reply. I will speak with my Canadian manager on this, weather he will help me with LMIA with +ve result & Job offer.
For this can you please help me with the process and required documents needed from company side ?

For your second option - I did not understood well, can you please elaborate it. What is the procedure and process. Thanks

Second option - https://www.canadavisa.com/intra-company-transfer-program.html#gs.2zco0m

If you go this route, you will have to work in Canada for one year before you get the points for your CRS score. However, you will also get Canadian Experience points.

ICT is a good route if you can get your company to agree.

You can get in touch with me. I came to Canada in the same route.

US --> ICT work permit (LMIA-exempt) (took just 8 business days) --> PR via CEC with LMIA-exempt job offer points (took 4 months from ITA to PPR)
