not worth the chance to test your case. I will work the system as it is as change is slow. On the other hand working with my MP is better idea. Venting on his FB account is not helpful.

I have been the other routes with moderate success. Not sure what your experience has been or how long you have waited so far but the process does not work when the services you pay for are being withheld. As long as people just sit around and take it the more this government will reduce access and expedience.

Venting on his Facebook page is only step 1. Its public and that means enough critical comments can raise interest elsewhere.

I honestly dont think the majority of canadians care much about immigration. Plus Jason Kenny says the fees are 20yrs old and dont reflect the true cost of the tax payers so fees are going up like double.

Yes because Jason Kenney is someone who's word can be trusted. Fees paid to CIC for each applicant average $1040 lets say times 250000 successful applications/year =$260000000. Once an application is opened it may take about a week in total for a decision to be reached. The cost of labour per week is about $800. So the government makes an additional $200 or so dollars from what they spend to process the application. Now they are reducing the amount of workers processing them saving even more of their overhead.

What do you think causes an application to require 14 months to be processed? It will spend 99% of its time in a pile unopened.

I think some time ago someone mentioned there was a twitter account too. The more eager ones tried to get heard that way and that's the last I heard of that..

There is nothing wrong with commenting on the Minister's facebook page. But there is an art to effective complaining... as one of my co-worker puts it, "it's the ability to tell someone to eff off and have them happy to do it". LOL As long as it's respectful and constructive and no threats/expletives, there's nothing to worry about.

I am not happy either about our wait times. In the beginning i thought it was my right to walk her onto the plane off to canada and live happily everafter. Reality quickly settled in after that. Now we are 15,000 dollars into it with lawyer and CIC fees plus i am supporting 2 households in two countries as a single parent. I miss my other daughter who is 2 and my wife. I pray everyday to a power greater then Mr. Kenny and I we are closer everyday to being together. Go ahead write on his FB page but if I was to appeal to Mr. Kenny it would be in a private respectful way.
I want my wife and baby not a fight or argument respectfully JMHO.
I am here to seek advice and excuse me for suggesting Mr Kenny's FB is not worth while. It is just not for me.

If Kenney cared at all your wife and daughter would already be here. He doesn't. This government dances to another tune. Hopefully those of us that are willing to openly communicate can help this process improve for everyone.

And if you do so he will ignore you. The one thing lots and lots of complaints on this public twitter and facebook pages might do is get a mention in the papers about the flood of complaints (in plain sight, not able to be hidden).
