January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

I need to buy patience, anybody selling any? ;_; Not IRCC putting us through pain again! I thought that was over with my PR application.
 
New question. How long has everyone waited from LPP to oath invite? We physically landed in Canada on June 21, 2012. Would be amazing to become citizens before our 13 year anniversary. Does that seem possible?

That would be pretty quick, given it's already June 11 - the invites seem to usually be for ceremonies two weeks + into future.

I called again, I was told and officer was assigned to my application on May 28th. God I can't with the anxiety of waiting. She mentioned though that I should be aware about any emails and that they would be coming from Scarborough.

Have never left Canada after arriving in 2012, so ZERO presence issues!

Applied Jan 16
AOR Jan 29
Background Feb 21
Test scheduled 7 March
Test done 7 March (20/20 for me and husband)
March 20 Test updated to complete
June 9 LPP (showed on tracker today!)

Not the fastest. Not the slowest. No other requests etc. because we never left Canada, so they already know everything!

For those of us who are still waiting for LPP, maybe this will help put things into perspective.

I fed ChatGPT 38 application timelines (last time I only had 15) from Dec and Jan that had LPP completed so far, and asked it to give me some stats:

LPP Completion Range (From Submission Date, across 38 timelines)​

  • Fastest: 63 days
  • Slowest: 177 days
  • Most common range: 120–150 days

For me, I submitted on Jan 30, and this is how ChatGPT visualizes where my application land in the LPP completion range (you can use this to see where you land based on submission date):

Good work, thanks for sharing. Just a side note, would it make more sense to make the parameter the AOR date instead of the submission date?
 
Anyone waiting for oath completion? mine turned to inprogress on april 16th. Still no invite!!! 2 months gone no update yet! Anyone in same timeline? AOR Jan 16th. LPP done april 16th.

I'm not sure. I'm in this January 2025 thread because I submitted on Jan 30. If I were to only count from AOR, I would be a February applicant.

But here are the stats counting from AOR, calculated by ChatGPT based on 38 timelines:

LPP Completion Range:
  • Fastest: 48 days
  • Slowest: 161 days
  • Most common range: 105–135 days
  • Median: Around 120–125 days

Interesting info you are sharing. It's been 136 days for me since submission and 124 since AOR. I hope my application doesnt take more than 161 days xD
