sorry my mistake it was 2019 that what bothered me, why IVR on ircc customer care said where as we did our medical in 2019

Well then your medical is expired. In this case you just need medical exam for you and your wife and no biometrics as they are good for 10 years. Your status will remain as we donot need your biometrics till your application is approved.
