Biometrics is on a case by case base. I received the automated mail for biometrics for myself(inland) and spouse(outland) in 2019. Paid for it but I was refunded mine and my spouse's biometrics was requested and submitted. 2months later, they asked for our medicals and original police certificates from out of Canada.

So, I don't think biometrics is compulsory esp if you've been in Canada.
After 3rd December 2019 it has been made mandatory to all.
They have put the exception for now only for Temporary resident visa, student visa and extension, for Inlands.

if it says "medical results have been received" it means you passed the medical
In my case, the status was "We are reviewing your medical results" and after a few days it changes to "July 14, 2020 You passed the medical exam"

Did you get AOR? Your AR was end of Feb. if not, Did you send webform for AOR?
My gckey says "you passed the medical exam" but today, I received an email from IRCC for medical surveillance. Maybe because I have a history of PTB and Mitral Valve Prolapse.

Congratularions. Please share the various medical tests done. I'm sure people would like to have an idea.

It was pretty simple. First a questionnaire about my medical history (you can find it here: https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/department/partner/pp/pdf/imm5419e.pdf )
They ask me to go to the bathroom and fill a jar with urine.
Then, the doctor took my pressure, auscultation of lungs and heart, and felt my abdomen.
After that a blood sample (they analyze Creatinine, HIV, Hepatitis, and Syphilis).
And finally, a Rx of chest.
