I came to know from a friend today that there is a newer version of adult application form since January 2019. Was wondering how many of you applied with the newer version of the form? I applied on Jan 10 and the version was from 05-2018 not 01-2019.
I applied in January and also used the 2018 version. I checked the website and it says "Make sure you use a version of the application form dated October 2017 or later. " We should be okay.

I am worried because those informations seems to contradict each other ...
Here is what I saw on the website too.

If you submit your application on a form with a version date older than October 2017, we’ll return it to you and ask you to resubmit your application using the newest version of the form. If you used a version of the form dated October 2017 or later and we returned it to you as incomplete, you don’t need to use the newest version of the form to resubmit your application. You can resubmit it using the same form once you get the missing information or documents.

Nothing is contradictory. It merely says that version older that Oct 2017 can’t be used to submit an application. It is important to note that a newer version has come in January 2019. However, if one has used a version older than the newest one to submit the application and that application was returned by IRCC, one doesn’t need to use the newest version to submit. They simply can make the necessary changes in the older version (not older than Oct 2017) of the application and resubmit.
