Did you submitted your medicals upfront??

Yes- for my spouse, but we had planned on sending his daughters medical afterwards as we were waiting for her passport to arrive. We weren't aware that with the change of application, that meant we could no longer just book an appointment for a medical without CIC request. So we're waiting for a request for his daughter now. Where are you at in the process right now? Did you use the old or new application?

what do you mean they changed the procedure?
I'm a feb applicant who sent everything upfront,
already passed medical, called and they basically said they haven't started my back ground check yet or my eligibility check.
but I would most likely be sent to Ottawa later on..

I think that they've changed it so that the medical, schedule A and PCC are required to be collected while the application is still in Mississauga and before app is transferred to VO.

Will Ottawa be doing the background and eligibility for you then?

Hello guys

I need your help in this situation. My wife sent her passport to Rome office as requested via DHL. The DHL office said when the embassy issue the visa they will send an email to us informing us that the passport is ready for pick up. After we get that email we are supposed to forward it to the DHL so they can pick up the passport. The issue is we haven't received such an email yet. The ecas status and my account said the the application is approved and descion was made and even shows when the visa will expire. This happens maybe 8 or 9 days ago and I sent an email to Rome office but no response yet from them. What do you suggest guys? And feedback is appreciated.

How long have you been waiting for an email from Rome? When does the visa expire? If you continue having to wait, perhaps contact your local MP to contact the visa office- they're required to respond to MP's within 5-7 days.

No, it doesn't say Approved yet. and i still didn't receive my Advice/Notice of Receipt. FYI it's part of the French Mail service which can therefore keep the signature of the receiver party, and is sent back by snail mail to the original sender, thus informing the sender that the mail have been received.

I emailed the Paris Immigration office, before the weekend, and i hope to get an answer. Or else i tell my wife to call them...

Hi everyone! After sending Schedule A in ircc webform I received this email "We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at a visa office outside Canada." Did they attached my Schedule A already before sending my file to the visa office? Thank you!

Honestly, I don't know whats going on, I just really hope that somethings comes up and changes.. you sent your things before my PA and i.. and we got our COPR in the mail on Monday morning :/ I hope either you or your wife can reach them very soon!

Well my wife has been to the embassy and brought with her a second copy of the required documents just in case. She couldn't get through the security, but he went in and asked in the office to see if they got it. He came with the answer "they got it yesterday, your file is complete".

I'm a bit reassured right now, because it's his word only, no written proof of that... Hopefully it will change soon.

During the processing, did your Mycic change to background check or just eligibility check? Because I heard some peoples Mycic never changes to background check in progress before DM.

Well my wife has been to the embassy and brought with her a second copy of the required documents just in case. She couldn't get through the security, but he went in and asked in the office to see if they got it. He came with the answer "they got it yesterday, your file is complete".

Ok, thank you. Just want to confirm as mine has been on reviewing eligibility and the next step is background check.it has been like these for almost 2 month.

Hmm ... I haven't seen that yet. What I've read quite often is that once they start processing the background check, it tends to stay in process until after decision made. Our eligibility went into review the day of the file transfer. Not long after that, the background check began.

Hi Guys,
I am new to site and here is my timeline on ecas.

Background: Sponsor Applicant and Primary applicant both are in US. PA is not a US citizen. We have been married over 4 years and have a child.

SA side ecas:
-Application received on January 21, 2017.
-AOR on February 15, 2017.
-We started processing your application on February 15, 2017.

PA Side ecas:
-Application received on January 21, 2017.
-We started processing application on March 9, 2017.
-Medical results have been received.
-Received an email on February 21 to send form IMM5562 for travel, passport photos and authorization to disclose form by March 23. We send all required documents in the mail which was received by cic on March 17.

Let us know your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Can somebody light some thoughts on my case? it will be greatly appreciated.
