I had to send two police checks.
3 weeks after i sent Malaysian one they asked for the Canadian one as i have been here for over 6 months. Then three weeks after i sent in the Canadian one they sent me PPR.

Do you know if they request a Canadian police check if you have been here more than 6 months at the time of application or more than 6 months when they actually are processing the application?

That won't be the case for us as my husband is not in Canada or has never been in Canada.

Bcz i had been in the country only 2 months when i sent in my application.

Seems no luck for August, let's claim for September! They are still busy with backlogs.

I applied for my husband on January 28, many people from my city have applied in the last 2-3 years, the average timeframe is 7-10 months, and they all dealt with Mexico VO.. I know every case is different, but this give us hope, that ours will also take 7-10 months...
Let's pray for September to be the month!!! 8)

Yosh! After being frustrated yesterday, we already received result of my husband's application as sponsor. Yay eligible! KKBBH. Though i wonder why he received it thru snail mail when we did write all response to be email? Oh well still good though.

Been kinda upset since everyone can request gcms notes and link their cic account when we cant do both before cause we dont have his uci and application # :-[ BUt now is different. Looking forward for the detailed gcms notes yay ;D and PPR this Sept.

Try using his family name. You have that option too. I didn't have UCI or application # ( I only applied eight days ago) but I was able to link our application. No info has been added obviously but we found the application good luck.

Just sent in police check last week and a few days ago got an email for updated schedule A background! That is being sent today! Next will be passport request!

aylar10, are you the principal app or the sponsor? I am having trouble linking my app. to mycic , i'm using application # and family name. I am the principal applicant by the way.

I am the sponsor but I used my husband's (principle applicant) information. Since, I had just sent his application for less than 10 days, I didn't have application or #UCI. There is an option to put family name and first name. If you choose that, it asks for date of birth, place of birth and etc. It will give you an error message if you don't complete it, so I used that option. The only thing I noticed was that, I had to put 1 for the number of the applicants. I kept putting 2 but it wasn't finding the application, when I tried 1, it linked. I don't know about the application #, since I don't have it, I have never tried it.. I hope this answers your question..
