Don't worry SenoritaBella, the PPR is the first step of Manila's processing so we are far from being done waiting.

Oh really? So on average how long would they have the passport for? It's still good news.

Hve you ordered your GCMS notes since your file was transferred to Manila? If not, perhaps you could do that and see if you will get a sense of what's happening to your file.

Hi All,

Regarding ordering notes. I have a quick question.

I am sponsoring my wife. Does that mean that if I order the notes, she has to sign the consent form ? or since this is also my file, I can simply order them under my name ?

In other words : am i requesting the information on my behalf ?

Thank you

I believe if you want information about the applicant's application, then she needs to sign the consent form allowing CIC to release that information to you. If you are not looking for information about the applicant's application, then you just click "sponsorship file", and input personal information about yourself. This will only give you access to information about you, the sponsor.

What is AOR? I submitted my application in February 2014. I am just waiting for my husband to get the call from the embassy (or so I thought). But what is AOR 1 & 2?

Please!

Thanks,

MC

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt

AOR 1 = this is the 1st one you get from CPC-Mississauga when they have checked your application and every required document is there

AOR 2 = this is the one the applicant(person you are sponsoring) gets after their file is transferred to the visa office abroad
