That was in the end of the e-mail:
"Finally, you have 30 days to send the passport(s) to this Consulate."

Hello everyone.

I am waiting for my PPR and hubby and I just purchased tickets to take a trip together in August 8th abroad.
I forgot to consider I'll need my passport for the trip but in the other hand I have no idea (as everybody else) when the PPR will happen.
Can anyone tell me what is the usual term/time the visa office give you to provide passport when they request it?

We just got a new email from Kyiv asking for our proof of quebec undertaking and an official MCC copy of her CSQ (Certificat de selection du Quebec) we are sending that by courier today.

Have you opened the document and tried it out yet? I know there a lot of codes in the document. You can google them or ask in the spousal thread by Leon. A few of the users there know some of the codes.

Yeah I've opened it but to me it looks like the last time anything was updated was back in February once it got to Ottawa after sponsorship approval and they matched up his medical records. It says a lot of "Not started" when it comes to criminality and security etc. But it does say te status is in process. I just don't know if that's the most up to date file or if it is from when I requested the notes a month ago... How long does the security take for them to complete.

Ugh. More questions then answers right now and the point of ordering the notes in the first place was to get answers.

Security checks are 100% dependant on the foreign government(s) where the applicant has lived. You can link it with the diplomatic relationships with Canada. I've heard of some countries taking over 1 year to even acknowledge the request.

Have you lived anywhere other than Canada and the US? Security checks for the USA are pretty simple & easy to get.

Not very long. Small chance there may be someone with a similar name/birthday that has a record which could throw a wrench in it, but that's a small chance. Should be fast.
