Try to avoid sending original , as sometime you don't know when you required original documents ( Education certificates) for any purpose.

The bottom line is you need to be free from them in terms of documents. Tomorrow if they have not return your documents , you don't need to curse them.

Hope you will understand what i mean.

From my understanding transcripts are NOT required to be in sealed envelopes, as per new modifications since last year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As per the latest checklist for FSW, it nowhere says to send transcripts in officially sealed envelopes from the university. I am about to send my application and have included just the copies of the transcripts and degree.

Don't send originals. In my experience the embassy didn't return my original COE & my husband's COE. I have COE from 2002 employment unfortunately all of our COE not given back to us. Send only copies if they need originals they will ask for it :)

I sent notarized copies for those important papers like MC, birth certificates. It's good that I dint send original copy of those if so I'm in trouble now. I'm far away from home can't get those impt. docs right away. However I photocopied (colored) all the docs that I've send so I still have looks original docs. Most of the time they will not return the originals. Somebody told me that the embassy will return the originals so I send most of my original docs but in my case they dint return it. It's up to you to risk.

No I did not. Its not mentioned anywhere in the Checklist to get the transcripts notarized.
I am new to the forum so haven't dig around much.

yes its ok..

but its better if you send them original only after they ask you to send them.

NOTARIZED COPIES WILL BE OK AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION...

because in my case they asked originals with medical request
