It's been 7 months since they received my medical report

It's been 7 months since they received my medical report and haven't received any news since then. However, my application status is still Application Received. Shouldn't it be In Process or something else?
PS: I sent my application last March.

from what visa office? maybe you should ask those who have the same VO as yours for idea in timeline...but if it's CEM, i think it's quite a long time already and PPR should be on it's way..there are cases, however, where in ECAS is not updated, but progress occurs...

VO is Buffolo. I have a friend, she got the medical examination 4 month earlier than me, she got a notice that her file got transfered to New York last month. Other than that, there is no more news for her.

I don't know what take them so long!!!

Have u applied the GCMS note? I got it back in March. They have received my medical exam in Oct 2011 but somehow the ecas status never reflected the most update status.

So, for us,
medical (me): pass . medical (my husband) : in process
criminality (me) : in process. criminality (my husband) : hasnt started
background check : hasnt started. Background check (my husband): hasnt started


My ecas status is same as yours. ugh.....Don't know what is going on. I got worry all the time.

We're on the same boat though different VO, my application was received on January 2011, medical done last Nov 2011 and no news until now except to e-cas changed to "medical result has been received". Hope we all get good news soon before our medical expires..

So, if your medical expires you have to repeat your medical again? Does this happened to anyone? Thanks

Yes the medical exam will expire in 1 year and so is the PR visa. The VO knows this quite well and maybe there are just some delays. Provided you have no problem with your medicals, the VO will make sure you will get your visa before the expiry. Somebody I know, however, got his visa with just 3 months to go before expiry. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
