Items to get after arrival in Canada

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if you kind people out there have advice on items you need soon after arrival in Canada, but which you should not necessarily bring with you from wherever you're arriving from. I'm thinking winter clothes, furniture . . . but what else? Any tips?

Unless you have a step up electricity converter -small appliances (such as hair clippers, rice cookers)
Unless you have a travel adapter / plug: laptop computer, cell phone, ipads, etc.
Basically a big no: meats, products / medicines made from nearly extinct wild animals
Pots, pan, dining silvers, chopsticks, serving bowls, etc.
