I have a question regarding 1 year of Canadian experience.

I know the EE system goes month to month.
I started working in my current role from May 2015.
Can I create my express entry profile in beginning of April (the 12th month) ?
Stating experience duration from May 2015 - April 2016

Assuming this works and I receive ITA before end of April (12th month) and submit post-ITA application in May the 13th month (covering more than 1 year); will the system allow this?

The system will allow it, but that is an inaccuracy. If you receive an ITA before you have actually concluded the full 12 months, your application may be rejected. It has happened to others before.

The safest bet is to wait with your profile creation until you have actually reached the 12 months.

In this case, in my view it will be rejected. Playing with dates and cutting corners is usually punished :)
