Issues Renewing Work Permit

Hello,

I am a refugee claimant and I want to renew my work permit. I have faced a couple of issues applying online. Once I am signed in, I cannot find a link asking for applying/renewing a work permit. I have the application and all documents completed and ready. However, I CANNOT upload them online. My account does not show this option but it shows other things such as: Interim Federal Health Program and Transfer Schools.

Another big issue is that the work permit application asks for the expiry date of passport. When I put the exact expiry date shown on my passport, I cannot validate it because it requires that the expiry date should be greater than today's date. As you know, I have been here for almost 3 years and the passport expired a year a go and I cannot renew it. Have you ever experienced this issue?

I don’t know about the first issue.

Regarding the second one, it’s okay if your passport expired last year, in the expiry date section, put 2019 (same month & day) to validate the form. They know it, I always did that & it was fine.

Did you print the application and signed it yourself (handwritten signature) then tried to upload it?

I understand, but the application has a signature section in the bottom. Did you print the application to sign it yourself?

When you sign-in to your account, you might have a link at the bottom of the page labeled Apply to come to Canada. Click on it and complete the questionnaire. The link is: https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/mycic/home/kitReferenceClaim

I am still having troubles renewing my work permit.
