Is UCI for Express Entry application different from UCI for previous applications (study and work permit)?

Hello,

I had already applied for study permit and work permit in my CIC profile and they all had the same 10-digit UCI number.

Now I just submitted an express entry application and it gave me a different 14-digit UCI number (which starts with CAN0000) from my previous study and work permit applications.

Is this normal?

The UCI Number will be same. Right now the one which you have been assigned is a temporary one. Once your file is checked for completeness (R.10 check), your old UCI will be assigned to this application as well.

i make profile in ee and got UCI which start from CAN now i got wp
on wp i got diffrent UCI
sould i need to update ircc about my new UCI on wp
or how can ircc know that i got wp
