Hi all...

I emailed Immigration on June 26, 2018 regarding my husbands application for permanent residency.
It has been in process since June 26 2017.

On the GC Key, the background check status is: "We are processing your background check". it changed to that status on May 31 2018. As far as I know, from what I've read here, this is IP2.

The reply from Manila visa office was this:
Can anybody explain?
ANOTHER REVIEW? Maybe this one is FINAL REVIEW!

Hopefully Hubby will get PPR within the next few weeks.

The email message you received is a standard response that basically says your application is being processed and a date for completing processing cannot be provided. It's a canned response.

I am a June 27/17 applicant so I hope we hear news soon. CIC phone system still is up to June 12/17 applicants.

How do I use the CIC phone system to keep track of that?

How can I get a more detailed response. It seems like lots of people can get detailed answers.. but I’m unsure how to do that. Should I use the webform to inquire?

When is the background check made? Is the RCMP fingerprint criminal check record part of the background check or does it come beofor or after the background check? Can someone clarity?
