Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
is there a VO or someone who is close to VO in this forum ?

I am little crazy about the job title and duties problem.

or anyone know how the VO check work permit's NOC , because there is no NOC in work permit , only a title.

does they stored in the GCMS systems ? why there is no NOC on work permit.

if there is no LMO, will be the NOC claimed when apply work permit stored ?

You can cross reference the job title/NOC using this website http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/occupation_search-eng.do

I might be wrong, but the work permit NOC must match the CEC application NOC.

When you work permit has a job title it means you are only authorized to work in Canada in that specific NOC.

If your CEC application NOC doesn't match the work permit NOC, I advise you to seek professional counsel.

You are not thinking in the right direction... Even if there was a VO on this forum, he/she wouldn't help you as it would be playing favoritism. It looks like you are freaking out right now. Trust me, freaking out won't help you one bit...

If you really wanna do something about it, send CIC an updated job reference letter with a cover letter to clear things up. Or you can talk to a good immigration lawyer...

Buddy,

I can understand your situation.....Dont Panic....can u confirm few things:
1. WHen you applied for WP there were certain responsibilities that you wrote....Your lawyer choose a NOC and a Title....CIC read the roles and gave you another title on WP....
2. Now you have applied for PR and you think its a different NOC (different from above 2) based on your roles....

Can you please confirm if the roles and responsibilities that you mentioned in your WP and what you mentioned in your PR - are they both exactly the same?

answer:
1. yes, I wrote 2283 responsibilities, my lawyer chose 2171 and keep the title sotware developer which is 2173, and in my work permit it become

sfotware engineer which is 2173
2. Yes, I applied 2283 , and keep the title sotware develper , because my offer letter is taht one .

the last question :

yes , I am 100% sure , my duties doesn't be changed, some minor words replace and make sentence little longer. if you want have a check , I can show you them.

why I do minor words replace, because , someone think I should remove words like "lead complex " but they don't affect the duties nature. e.g

lead doc review, change to doc review.

test complex project, change to test project.

why I make it littler longer,

because i use that duties and title to query HRDSC, their first letter, say My duties is not detail and ask more.

so I give them more, then they told me : my NOC is 2283, can't be 2171 or 2173.

but in their email. they aslo say something like, keep final explanation right for CIC .

Here's your answer then. You contacted HRDSC and they told you 2283 is right for you. Unless you have really bad luck to meet a VO who thinks differently than HRDSC, you'll be fine! Just relax. 8)

hope so , Just because I find another guy rejected in 2013 , because of this situation , he have make sure his duties match 2283 well , maybe something different.

the problem is , if it is a mistake, how to correct it,

the only thing I am sure is ,I can't change duties after I read so many posts.

should I update my work permit, but in this way , if my previous work experience can't be counted, I need work another year.

I really do't know why work permit 's title so casual in the CIC, but when they check PR , like chase a evil . make others no way to follow. that is my feeling.

Wait a second.

So your work permit (the one you were under when you gained your Canadian experience) is software engineer (2173)?
When you applied for CEC you applied stating your job title is software developer and the NOC you fill in your forms was 2283, which in reality doesn't match because 2283 -> software tester and 2174 -> software developer, correct?

If this is your case, it's a mess.

The problem I see is that you were authorized to work as a software engineer (2173), but you worked as a software tester (2283).

I would go talk to a lawyer, a good one, not the one that made this mess, to get a second opinion. There are recommendations in this forum, you just have to search for it. Some even have a first free consultation.

It is a mess , I know , the lawyer company, is our company pointed , which is a big company.

the title can never be changed,

because in our company, software develpor and softwrare test under the same title : software develper.

in out company, there is no software tester even they do testing job only.

I don't know what to do ?

How come you don't know? You either trust your lawyer or you don't. You either stick to what the current lawyer tells you to do or you go get a second opinion (another lawyer). Each case is different and there are many particularities that people won't share on a public forum.
Or do you really expect to find the answers to all your problems in a public forum?

You already know that some people apparently on the same spot had their PRs rejected while others had their PRs approved. What's the difference? Surely you won't find that out in a public forum!

Yes, Have no idea, it is too late to hire a lawyer, all the doc submitted. nothing can be changed as I know.

my friend submit wrong information, ask for correction. rejected. they say , wait officer decision or notice . nothing can be done before it.

the work permit lawyer : I never pay attention to what he have done, just do what he told me . so yes, I just listen to him .

but now , I find the lawyer is the trouble root .
