So today I drove to the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles to ask about an authorization to return to Canada form and if I even need one and the the security officer said the visa and immigration section has been closed for 15 months. I went to that same location 2 years ago at the same time (9 am) and the security officer then was encouraged to send people away...he was a real prick. But I still got what I needed then. Now I get home and I search online about it being closed and nothing. Did I get screwed? The passport and trade and investment section was open though. Now I'm wondering if they just opened later in the morning and the security just wanted to get rid of me?
