As for application in Buffalo, NY, is everyone called for an interview in person or they usually do not call for an interview?

Thanks.

I have no idea on how the immigration decides if you'll do interview or not. In my application in Buffalo, they waived the interview requirement. Its a case to case basis.

So, what happened when they waived? Did u get the stamp in your passport and that was it? Didn't You have go there at all?

Thanks.

After they waived the interview, we completed our medical and submitted the remaining documents that they have requested. Now, we're waiting for the passport request and visa, hopefully soon.

So, you did not submit the documents along with the regular application, did you? What documents will I need to send along with the application?
Thanks again.

I think documents submission depends on the type of application.

I applied as FSW and submitted the required initial documents with the applications. I think the documents that were submitted for my family are birth certificate, transcript of records, diploma, income tax return, xerox copy of unexpire passport. When I received my AOR, they requested me to take IELTS and proof of relationship coz my wife has an uncle in Canada.

After initial assessment which took about 8 months, I submitted my employment reference letter, fbi/nbi clearance, income tax return for 2007 and proof of funds.

Also, we completed our medical on Sep. 04, 2008. Hope this helps.

The only original copy that I submitted is the IELTS result and employment reference letter. The rest are xerox copies or notarized copy of the original copy.
