Is re-entry deniable even with temp work permit?

Hello everyone, thanks for this space and I wish you a great 2019. I hold a spouse open work permit but I might have to travel outside Canada for some weeks many times a year. I’ve read that my admission will be re-evaluated every time that I get to the border. So, have your heard of any person being rejected on border even with a temporary work permit?
