Is old visitor visa invalid after getting a PR?

I have a Canadian temporary resident visa / visitor visa with an expiry date in 2025. I also recently acquired Canadian PR through FSW express entry. I am planning to do a short landing this July and then leave the country without my PR card. Would I be able to return to Canada later on my old visitor visa without carrying my PR card?

It is invalid due to the fact as a PR you are no longer entitled to hold a visitor visa so without a PR card you will need a PRTD to board a plane and this will be checked before you board a plane as a board no board check. Won’t matter if you have a visa or not without the PR card or PRTD you will not be able to board as a PR .You are welcome to try posing as a visitor I guess and prove everyone wrong.

So, I asked the CBP officer upon landing and he confirmed that prior TRV is invalid as my status in Canada has changed, confirming what @Bs65 said above.

I meant the Canadian immigration officer at the airport. Not sure what they are called.
