I'm applying for dependent visa under my husband's WP.
I wanted to know if NOC will be cross verified with my employer.

@Jalex23 : Thanks! My husband's wp duration is 24 months. But If my NOC from employer states that I am travelling for 3 months, do they limit my Visa validity also to only 3 months?

I don't get it, do you work in Canada? Aren't you coming on a TRV? why would CIC care about your NOC if you are a visitor?

I guess she means NOC (No Objection Certificate) issued by her employer and not NOC (National Occupation Classification)

@Jalex23: I am coming on a TRV along with my spouse who will be coming on a ICT WP valid for 2 years. They have asked to submit a NoC(No Objection Certificate) from my employer if I am employed. So if I get a NOC from my employer for only 3 months, do they limit my visa TRV validity to 3 months or it will be valid till my spouse's WP visa validity?

This is why acronyms are strongly discouraged when posting. NOC is the common acronym for Canada's "National Occupation Classification". Please do not use acronyms.

My guess would be that this is a question that should be asked in the workers forum. Please post it there:

It doesn't matter what the validity of your TRV is. Actual visitor status will be granted by CBSA when you enter Canada; they generally grant 6 months. If you wish to stay in Canada longer, you can apply to extend your stay.
