Is National Identity Document a requirement for CEC class

Hello everyone,

Do you know if National Identity Document is a requirement as well? Are we required to send it with our application? I know that in the document checklist, it says that national IDs (if applicable) in the Identity and Civil Status Documents Section. They also ask about it in the Generic Application Form IMM 0008.

I actually have applied for the renewal of my identity document but the embassy is saying that it would take 2 to 3 months for the renewal. I have the expired one with me. I want to apply for immigration very soon as I have all the other documents ready to apply under CEC class.


Please clarify if someone has any knowledge about it. Thanks a lot!

national identity document is not requirement for CEC if you do not have it just write N/A in the application form,if you have an expired card then write the number along with the issue and expiry date.
go ahead and send your application,delaying it is not in your favor since there is CAP.just triple check it and make sure everything is correct and included and all forms are signed.

you are welcome and yes you can include the expired one informations and include a copy of that card too if you want,it not going to hurt.
