Is my son good to go?

My wife has her visa which is valid till nov. 2017.

My son just got his Canadian Citizenship.

The question I have is...

Does he need anything else beside his citizenship document and Philippine passport to enter Canada?

I would think he needs his Canadian passport because:

1- Philippine passport holder needs a tourist visa which he cannot have as he's Canadian citizen
2- The citizenship document isn't a travel document

well it's me.... can't recall previous email or password but i have another question.

yes he needs a canadian passport but gee they got my i d all over and yet i have to send photo i d now.

unfortunately i let my passport expire.

the big 64000$ question is do i have any options if i can't provide photo i d.
