Hi,

I am currently on PGWP which expires in August 2015. I am planning on going through with AINP - Skilled Worker Criteria or International Graduate Criteria. Once applied for AINP, would my company have to apply for LMIA to get my work permit extended or can it be done without?

Thanks so much in advance!

I would really appreciate if someone could please provide some feedback on this!

U don't necessarily need lmia to apply , but looking at the current processing time u would need one eventually, u have 8 months of work permit, the current processing time is over 25 months

unfortunately yes you will need LMIA, otherwise your your ANIP file will get disqualified hence rejected once your work permit is expired. AINP will only continue as long as you have a valid work permit.

Thanks for the response! Just wondering how hard is it to get a positive LMIA for a NOC B level job? Or should I look into NOC A jobs?
