Hi guys! This question has probably been answered somewhere in this forum but I just wanted to know.

I see people mention how they "order notes" what do the notes actually include?
Should I order them? When do I have to order them? Before or after they accept us or during?

If I do order them, are they actually legible or are they all in code and scribbles?

Thanks in advance :)

yes!!! order asap!

I order notes every couple of months, and i am so glad i have. My V0 has lost so much of my application if i hadn't seen it missing in my notes i wouldn't have known about it.

Oh i totally recommend it. They are only $5, and its a good way to see whats going on with your file.

I ordered mine and found out they had my marriage year listed incorrectly which can affect the application. (They had it as 2013 when it was actually 2010).
They had other info that wasnt correct either. Good to see that I was able to correct it. Yes order the notes for sure!

Thanks everyone I'm about to order them.

I just have to add a picture of my Canadian passport and my husbands consent form for the additional documents since I want to see our whole file correct?

Go on YouTube and search for "How to Order Immigration Notes" there's a step by step video of the process.
Good luck

I didnt send a pic of passport. Just the application form and consent form

Trust me it would be the best $5 you have ever spent. It will give you insight into the processing of the file and where it stands

It is really worth to apply GCMS notes to know more details of your immigration file processing. I had applied approx 8-10 times during whole my process of immigration through gcmsnotes.ca If you have your sponsor in Canada he/she can apply for you else you can apply as I did.

We are just about to send in our common-law sponsorship application...I don't have a file number yet. Will I receive a file number once we submit it, then we can use that to apply for the notes. At the moment it won't let me continue until I include a file number.

Thank you,
Julie

You will receive your file number/application number, when you receive your AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt).

IMO, there's really no reason to request notes until your application has been in `the system' for at least 6 months (for an Outland application) and probably 18 months for an Inland application.

Thank you for your response. We are filing outland, so I will wait until we send in the application and get our file number, and then apply for the notes.

Another general question thats probably been answered...

How long does it take? I've read somewhere that it takes a month?
