Having read the subject regarding reputable laywers, we wondered if we were too late to employ representation?

As backgound info: we applied for a business class PR through the simplified process in March 2008 and received 120 day return of supporting dcouments letter in early October 2008. This means we are at the final stages of collating evidence of Business expereince, net worth etc.. In fact we have to submit on the 30th January 2009!!!

Ours is complicated as although we believe that we meet all the necessary qualifying criteria for the federal program, my wife is in the middle of her 'earn out' period since selling her sucessfull renewable energy business to an internation group at the end of 2007. This obviously complicates matters as the the sale of the business had an initial cash consideration with an additional deferred element to be paid upon certain success criteria being met by the end of 2009. The other complicated item is that she and her business parners (hers was a 35% stake) completed a Management Buy Out 5 years ago from a German international group, changed the name of the company (as part of the deal) and therefore has two 'bibles' of Sale and Purchase data.. We dont know whether to submit entire 'bibles' as this includes a huge amount of documentation as you can imagine. Her own company business lawyers are presently attempting to summarise these files in a succint manner but we are worried that if we send too little it will delay things also if we send too much detail this may also delay..

We do expect an interview due to the complexity but wonder whether we should and indeed can (given the time frame) employ lawyers to advise. Can this be done quickly over the phone we wonder??? Do we need legal representation?? Please help with your comments.
