Hello Guys ,

I recieved a passport request from New delhi office last week . I am a fsw applicant my noc is 3142. My advocate attorney general cohen office told me not to send it to them as they dont recieve passports. They gave me an option either to send it to new delhi office by myself or request them untill my medical clearance certificate is accepted by them. In my case i dont have any medicalissues so i am sure i will be thru . If i dont send my passport when they request it will lead to unnecessary delay. I feel i should send it when they request.

My doubt is to find out if it is safe to send it from Chennai where i reside by post , registered mail or by courier . Since it is my passport i am a little apprehensive on that. I kindly need your views . That would help me a great deal.

Thank You,

Siddharth.R

send it asap. Send it through blue dart. And u have the tracking system for the delivery. I guess they asked rprf dd also., this did usually end cashedwith in 20 days. That means ur pp reached them safely with rprf in it and its en cashed also by tem

If you do not plan for an international travel to some other countries there is no issue in sending your passport.
Send it via reputed couriers like BlueDart or UPS. When sending the passports inform the courier office that you are sending passports so that your passport number will appear on the receipt that they will give you.

Thanks buddy , I will send it before the weekend . I have my medicals on saturday and that is when i wil send the medical certificates to canada along with the police clearance. I recieved my med request on 2nd may. I am doing my medicals only on 12. Quite a delay isnt it. But i have been asked to submit all these docs with passport before june 16th . In that way i am safe isn't it?.. and do u have an estimate as to how many days it takes for visa issue upon completing medicals?

1. I have a different opinion abt courier service.

I rely on Indian registered post rather.

moreover i have heard that they dont entertain courier service, I may be wrong in that.
but my first preference wud be IRP.

there are other senior members as well, u sud take their opinion as well.
ur bro , hope.

Thanks bro, isn't courier more reliable and fast?

Oh dear.
You misunderstood my point.

I said that inform the courier that you are sending your passports.
They will make a diff receipt than.

Secondly you do not need to mail medical certificates.
That thing is taken care off by your DMP(doctor).

Registered post is reliable too as hope_life suggested although a bit slow.

Thanks Nano , I am aware of what u mentioned. I will do what is required. Is there an estinate for waiting period post medicals ?

Courier services are very reliable, especially bluedart and UPS.

Infact temperory visa(visiting/study/work permit) handled by the VFS rely completly on bluedart in India.
