If you are applying through PNP, you should at least stay long enough that it doesn't look like you planned to leave all along.

Yes, if you stay one year after getting PR, it will not look like you were already planning to leave when you got it.

Well, if you have to leave, you have to leave. You didn't get the PR to cheat yourself or the system... There are major forces beyond both processes.
