Hi there... I am currently working as a live-in caregiver but going to start processing my open permit and permanent residence status. My fiance wants to visit me here in canada from Jubail, KSA on Dec. Is it possible to get married here under the circumstances? Thank you so much.

Yes you can get married here, you and your fiance need to visit a registry together and apply for a marriage license.
You will need some sort of identification ie.passport, driver's license, birth certificate etc.
You will also need to know where both your parents were born and their full names. And pay the fees for this as well.

Once you have obtained this, the registry agent will help you locate a marriage commissioner (probably give you a list if you ask), each commissioner has a different fee they charge it is up to you to contact them and book a wedding day. Some commissioners would meet up with the couple before the day of the wedding to see how you would like your ceremony to be.

hope this helps.

Congrats!

I got married as a visitor.

If you don't know your parents' information, you can write "unknown" on the certificate.

Thank you for the help. Any idea though how many days before the marriage licence will be released? for he will be only here for a month.

It depends on your province. It was 5 weeks in Alberta.

No you can get the marriage license right away (even in Alberta I was married here) after you come to the registry.
Maybe you are talking about the marriage certificate. (You can pay for it that the same time as the marriage license)

Here is what will happen. Get a marriage license, contact the marriage commissioner set a date for wedding, get married.
Once you are married the marriage commissioner will ask for sometime it depend how quick they are to send all the paper works (things that you sign at the wedding). So ask the commissioner when they are planning to send it.Once the commissioner sends it. Then might take up to 2-3 weeks after that for the vital statistics to encode the data and once that happens. They will send you the marriage certificate that you have paid for. An voila this is the official marriage document.
