Is it necessary to show Financial Sufficiency on First Arrival/Border Entry?

Dear Folks,

Is it required for one to show funds to prove financial self-sufficiency to the immigration/Border Officer on First Arrival/Border Entr

Since, One may be travelling only to complete first entry formalities; would it be enough to show bank statements in the
country where one is currently a resident. Hope it would not be required to show funds in a canadian bank.

No, it is not required to prove financial self-sufficiency.

You just sign a form and that is all.

Now, if you were entering another province aparte from Quebec, in that case you would have to prove your funds.
